Few words about Nin

Nin, a small town in Zadar County, is located in a unique lagoon on the Croatian Adriatic coast. There is an oasis of sandy beaches in the middle of a relatively shallow Nin Bay protected from the open sea. This area is a unique and rare landscape on the predominantly rocky eastern Adriatic coast, with one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia, Queen's Beach. The fields of Nin Saltworks stretch in the east of the city, while the largest site with medicinal mud in Croatia, used for treatment and rehabilitation for 60 years, is in the west. The "Blue Flag" in the area of the town of Nin is a proof and symbol of a very clean sea.

The Nin Bay is included in the Croatian ecological network. Also, the entire area of the Nin Lagoon is a unique landscape of rare plant and animal species, protected within the ecological network NATURA 2000, including specific muddy and sandy habitats with associated plant species and a large number of bird species. It is a space of exceptional value that needs to be managed sustainably.
